Ongoing research activities at CCL address a wide range of critical questions regarding the emission, transport and fate of environmental contaminants in relation to human exposure and health risks. The overall research approach at CCL is to link contaminant sources with biologically effective dose by describing, in a consistant manner, the pertinent physical and chemical processes that determine multiroute, multimedia and multipathway exposures to environmental toxicants.

The following sets of interlinked poster presentations demonstrate this research approach:

HEADSUP 2002 presentations were given at the US EPA - National Exposure Research Laboratory’s Human Exposure And Dose Simulation University Partnership — (HEADSUP) Program in Washington DC, July 2002. These presentations are in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format:

HEADSUP 2001 presentations were given at the Human Exposure And Dose Simulation University Partnership — (HEADSUP) Symposium in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, August 2001. These presentations are in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format:

MENTOR-OPERAS presents an overview of research methods and tools that are being developed to establish physically and chemically consistent source-to-source dose relationships for fine airborne particulate matter. This presentation is in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format, sub-divided into six sections:

CRESP I Posters describe research activities during CRESP I, aiming to improve the understanding of human exposures potentially associated with complex nuclear and hazardous waste sites.
